Interior Design  + Eco Design + Sustainable Construction

Yes, I used the "E" word. Eco is not as scary as you think. People who are concerned about the environment come from a lot of different backgrounds. I love trees but I don't spend that much time hugging them. I am not a huge fan of camping. I don't have dreadlocks. I don't weave my own clothes out of hemp. But I am still concerned with the state of the environment and am passionate about making a difference. My goal is to do things within my power to make the earth a better place.

With more than 10 years of experience in Interior Design and Construction, I now specialize in Eco Design and Sustainable Construction. I love how as each project unfolds, new opportunities to use recycled and sustainable materials reveal themselves. Without compromising on design, I try take the stress out of the process and make sustainable materials more accessible. Non-VOC paints, recycled counter tops and fromaldihyde-free wood is now available to everyone.

Environmental issues also impact my designs. I work to create unique furniture and décor that support basic philosophy - designs can be beautiful, sustainable and affordable - not to mention leave a lower impact on the world we live in. I think a little remodeling can go a long way and giving your kitchen a new look can be easier than you think.

The design thing is a natural fit for me. I grew up in a very creative and “Do It Yourself” environment. I was exposed to design, material selection, craftsmanship and translating vision into reality from a very early age.

I think it is important to share what you know. If we all do a little bit then the world will be a better place. Be kinder, recycle what you can, choose recycled products when they are available, and work towards living green.

Who knows maybe one day the trees will hug back.
